Fantastic experience. Lovely setting, calm, peaceful and just right for us. Lovely clean pod, friendly owners. Ducks and guinea pigs, roam freely in lake enclosure.
Nearby activities: Clare village 3 minutes drive. Sudbury and Haverhill equal distance by car. Park by the river in Stoke by Clare.

A fantastic get away , my son and I originally booked up 3 nights in the willow pod. We arrived and was greeted by Carol a lovely friendly lady x showed all around the pod was stunning, small and cosy smelt divine, bed lovely and comfy.
My son wanted to fish x the road lake is a very difficult lake to fish Steve in the tackle shop is very helpful and gave great advice. He managed in the stay to catch one beautiful mirror at 21lb. The moat had easier fishing with a 2lb tench and few carp from 6 to 16lb. So very happy lad xx
Highly recommend hiring the firepit Carol provides a lovely big tub of assorted logs and kindling. Charcoal for barbecue and even yummy marshmallows for roasting x
Facilities are simple but more then adequate and clean, compost toilets near pods and flush toilets and hot showers just slightly further along.there is a shed with washing up Facilities, any crockery or cups glasses or in my case bottle opener to use and return x Even a large fridge to store any perishables.
Carol has a food hut on site offering a range of tasty food all reasonably priced and cooked to order.
Only snag lol is ducks there very nosey bless them they will be constantly around u for any sneaky morsal of food xx so beware highlight for me was sitting outside pod with firepit on watching the bats at twilight xx
All in all a fabulous chilled out site( with shockingly good 4g ) carol and Steve lovely people x oh the tackle shop is bursting at the seams with stock xx highly recommend to the point we stayed an extra night x so if ur looking for peace and quiet r and r then look no further xx we plan to return in near future xxthanks guys hopefully see u again x

Nice people but definitely shouldn’t be called a fishery due to the fact the “lakes” are to small and there’s loads of ducks that really are a nuisance if you want a little get away it’s okay I suppose but no good on the fishing side .

Just spent a wonderful week in George's pod. The site was so peaceful and relaxing and was just what I needed to escape the rat race for a few days! Steve and Carol were the perfect hosts and made my stay really comfortable. I caught some decent carp out of the road lake up to 26lb and also had some lovely tench. I couldn't recommend Rum Bridge highly enough!

The first time we stayed a couple of years ago, we extended our stay because it was so nice there. I have just returned from our 5th or 6th stay and it is a great place to stay time and time again. I already want to be back!
Food & drinks: Carol's kitchen is a food and drink van on site and no matter how much I've tried, I've not been able to cook a breakfast like it! The burgers are pretty amazing too, we only ate on site the whole stay

Really enjoyed our time here, the accommodation was cosy and had good space. The host was very polite and helpful. Fished the road lake and caught a nice head of carp to a really good size, will definitely go back again one day.

What a gem of a place. My lovely daughter booked moat pod for me, her and my son to stay in. 3 adults, we stayed over 2 nights in January the pod has 2 plug sockets 2 usb connections and lights. The electric is basic 5amp worth bringing a few spare fuses in case you blow the fuse. It dropped to -3 degrees outside but the pod has 2 heater which kept us toasty at over 20 degrees. You pay for power using an app which works fine, I had great 4g on my phone (Tesco mobile). The Site facilities are fine lovely hot shower a short walk from our pod plenty of loos which are kept very clean. The food served is excellent and very reasonably priced. About a 20 minute walk into Clare the nearest town the 1st 100m has no path so you need to take care and a torch in the dark.
Even with the cold conditions I managed during a day fishing session to catch a couple of very good condition mirror carp. Overall very pleased with the facilities and fishing.
Would recommend.
Rooms: The pad is compact but was very dry and warm and right by the fishing lake. Ideal

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for one week. We had 2 Bell tents and the location was beautiful. On the Wednesday myself and the children attended the fishing coach school, which we all really enjoyed and caught plenty of fish. Accommodation was very comfortable and lights and a power pack was supplied so charging phones was not a problem. The shower facilities were fabulous with instantaneous hot water, the toilets were clean and always had a toilet paper supply. There is a good selection of food and drink options from carols kitchen which was all cooked fresh to order. We will definitely be returning again and look forward to seeing how big the ducklings got :)
